Inspiration

The Prefrontal Cortex enables consciousness through its ability to "predict the future" across various levels of emergence, from neuronal activity to complex cognitive processes.

Goal

o37 is dedicated to developing methods of training and building AI purely inspired by the Prefrontal Cortex's predictive capabilities. Our goal is to develop a new generation of intelligent systems—ones that can foresee, plan, and adapt.

Thesis

Our research is driven by the insight that the prefrontal cortex exhibits predictive capabilities across multiple levels of abstraction, from individual neurons to complex cognitive processes. This multi-level predictive ability inspires our approach to AI research. Consequently, our experiments explore both low-level neural prediction mechanisms and high-level cognitive forecasting techniques, aiming to create more versatile and adaptive AI systems.
